Educator Highlights: Crys Stahl, Regional Director, All Around Children, Ohio

At Highlights Early Learning, we have the privilege of working alongside incredible educators who shape the minds of the next generation. One such educator is Crys Stahl, the Regional Director at All Around Children. With a leadership role that spans three preschool classrooms and three PreK rooms, serving 20-28 children in each room, Crys is making an impact not only on the students but also on the educators Crys supports. 

While every day can bring something new to All Around Children, one thing remains constant: the joy of seeing students engage in exciting, hands-on learning. And thanks to Preschool With a Purpose, the fun doesn’t stop. 

We thank Crys and the All Around Children team for sharing how they are bringing Preschool With a Purpose to life, adding their own creative twists while staying true to the curriculum’s play-based learning.  

What makes you most excited to go to work every day?   

Crys: As a center director, one of the things that excites me most about coming to work each day is that no two days are ever the same—every day brings something new, unexpected, and rewarding. 

What is something your teachers are enjoying most about Preschool With a Purpose?   

Crys: Since incorporating Preschool With a Purpose, our teachers have especially enjoyed the fun and engaging activities and materials. The program has truly energized our classrooms. 

What is something your students are enjoying most about Preschool With a Purpose?   

Crys: Our students love having a variety of stations to explore and are always excited by the fresh, new activities they get to try. 

What is something you, as center director, appreciate about Preschool With a Purpose?   

Crys: From a leadership perspective, I really appreciate the ease of lesson and material planning that Preschool With a Purpose offers. It allows us to prepare ahead of time and focus more on meaningful learning experiences. 

Are your teachers using Preschool With a Purpose as is, putting their own spin on it, or something in between, and why?   

Crys: Our teachers use the curriculum both as it’s designed and with their own creative touches. The flexibility allows them to build on the provided activities and tailor them to meet the individual needs of our children. We’re grateful for a resource that supports both educators and learners in such an engaging, practical way.
